Major outpatient surgery provider in North Carolina sells facility for $9.3M — 4 insights

Prosper Holdings bought the facility housing Deerfield, Ill.-based Surgical Care Affiliates’ Greensboro (N.C.) Specialty Surgical Center for $9.3 million, Triad Business Journal reports.

Here are four insights:

1. Greensboro Specialty Surgical Center is one of the four largest outpatient surgery providers in the Triad area. It will remain a tenant, and no major changes are planned for the facility, sources told Triad Business Journal.

2. GSC Acquisition had owned the 17,287-square-foot facility since 2004.

3. GSC Acquisition Managing Member James Nitz is also the founder of Salem Professional Anesthesia, which provides anesthesia services for Greensboro Specialty Surgical Center.

4. Prosper Holdings owns a 13,690-square-foot facility in Greensboro that houses Eagle Family Medicine at Guilford College.
