American Academy of Ophthalmology debuts new journal — 4 insights

The American Academy of Ophthalmology revealed its new scientific journal, Ophthalmology Glaucoma.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The journal will focus exclusively on glaucoma.

2. AAO will publish the journal in partnership with the American Glaucoma Society.

3. AAO appointed Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins University’s Henry Jampel, MD, to serve as editor-in-chief. Dr. Jampel assembled an editorial board of leading glaucoma scientists.

4. The inaugural issue of the journal will be available online Aug. 13.
