4 things to know about ‘Gastroenterology’s’ newest editorial fellow

The Gastroenterology board of editors selected Rishi D. Naik, MD, as the recipient of its second editorial fellowship.

Here are four things to know about him:

1. Dr. Naik’s fellowship runs from July 2018 through June 2019.

2. Dr. Naik, a second-year fellow from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, is studying to become a clinical investigator in translational science in the field of esophagology.

3. During his fellowship, Dr. Naik will be mentored in Gastroenterology’s manuscript publication process, as well as other editorial processes like peer review.

4. Dr. Naik will summarize his experience in a commentary co-published in Gastroenterology and The New Gastroenterologist, the American Gastroenterological Association’s quarterly magazine focused on trainees and early-career GIs.
