Endoscopists performing the colonoscopies without knowledge of their patient’s dosage schedule (split or single) reported superior cleansing results for split dosage patients — 75.2 percent good/excellent results — compared to 43 percent good/excellent results for single dosage.
The lower volume (split dosage) bowel prep solution of polyethylene glycol had “superior palatability” compared to the larger volume (single dosage).
