Modernizing Medicine takes the crown in specialty-specific EHR systems survey — 4 insights

Black Book conducted a survey of specialty-specific EHRs for its Black Book Physician Practice & Ambulatory Solutions top EHR list, finding Modernizing Medicine systems ranked first in six specialties.

Here’s what you should know.

1. Modernizing Medicine took top honors in dermatology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastic and cosmetic surgery and ENT.

2. This is the eighth consecutive year gGastro, an EHR from gMed, a Modernizing Medicine company, has won top honors. gGastro is the only GI-specific EHR system to be ranked No. 1, since Black book started polling in 2010.

3. Modernizing Medicine was also awarded top honors for the single practice category.

4. In addition, the company’s mobile EHR system, EMA, received top honors for dermatology, otolaryngology, plastic surgery and ophthalmology.
