Here are five things to note.

1. The partnership is intended to reduce surgical costs for workers’ compensation payers and third-party administrators through a directory of surgeons and surgical centers performing procedures at a predetermined bundled rate.

2. The National Directory of Ambulatory Surgery Centers includes more than 1,000 establishments, 10,000 surgeons and 100 outpatient surgical procedures for workers’ comp.

3. The directory accepts an all-inclusive bundled rate including preoperative, professional, facility, implant, imaging and pharmacy fees.

4. Acrometis and PriceMDs provide transparency for payers by applying the negotiated bundled rate to associated bills.

5. Acrometis provides workers’ compensation claims processing platforms. PriceMDs has a proprietary platform aimed at reducing the cost of elective surgical procedures for workers’ compensation payers and third-party administrators.
