Here are seven features to note.
1. With a small footprint and tray inserts that hold all the system’s components, the device is geared toward both ASCs and hospitals.
2. The Stryker F1 System features SmartGrip technology, which combines cord, console and handpiece electronics into a single device to improve maneuverability and reduce the chance of sterility breaks.
3. Surgeons can choose from the pencil or pistol-style gripping styles and operate three microsaws, a microdrill and a universal motor for inserting k-wires and drilling.
4. Each SmartGrip is a battery control module containing lithium ion cells. The five motors and three attachments are interchangeable between each SmartGrip Control Module.
5. The SmartGrip Control Modules can go unused for 30 days without losing power. They’re equipped with insulation for protection against thermal damage during exposure to high temperatures throughout sterilization, as well as battery indicator lights.
6. The system connects to Smart Equipment Management, an online data module for optimizing management of Stryker’s smart devices. It pairs exclusively with the Resurfacing Tool cutting accessory.
7. Facilities can choose from a variety of sterilization methods for the device.
