Here are four things to know.
1. Mr. Cook will assume the role May 1, overseeing operations for nine ASCs, eight hospitals and several outpatient locations in California and Nevada.
2. Currently CEO at North Florida Regional Medical Center, Mr. Cook has been with HCA since 2003.
3. Mr. Cook’s previous leadership roles included CEO of Parkridge East Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn., and Tallahassee, Fla.-based Capital Regional Medical Center.
4. He succeeds Bryan Rogers, who is retiring after 10 years as president of HCA’s Far West Division and 20 years with HCA.
