Here’s what you should know.
1. The proposal will enlarge the Lawrence Surgery Center and allow for more outpatient surgical procedures.
2. An orthopedic center of excellence will be constructed and built by the staff of OrthoKansas, also in Lawrence.
3. The hospital will add physician offices, a breast cancer center and a sports rehabilitation practice.
4. The facility will have no inpatient services.
5. Hospital administrators anticipate breaking ground on the project in June.
