Here’s what you should know:
1. Western Pennsylvania Surgery Center has received approval from the township’s planning committee, but has yet to receive final approval from township supervisors.
2. The 47,000-square-foot surgery center will have parking to accommodate 200 cars.
3. A group of independent physicians will operate the center. This is the group’s second surgery center.
4. The land the center will be built on was sold to an entity called G and D Medical Properties for $1.8 million in July 2017.
5. Center administration estimates the center will open in early 2019.
