Here are five quick notes:

1. Two former employees at Dr. Christenbury’s clinic, Christenbury Eye Center, filed a lawsuit against him in July alleging sexual harassment and a hostile workplace. The lawsuit also claims Dr. Christenbury retaliated against women who rejected him by not paying them or making late payments, according to WBTV.

2. Dr. Christenbury voluntarily gave up his license and the North Carolina Medical Board could conduct an investigation.

3. One of the accusers reported Dr. Christenbury offered her $5,000 in exchange for sexual relations. In 2011, he settled a separate lawsuit by a woman who claimed sexual exploitation, stalking and intimidation.

4. Dr. Christenbury is the only physician at his clinic, and over his 25-year career, he has performed more than 100,000 laser vision procedures including the first LASIK procedure in the Carolinas.

5. Dr. Christenbury’s attorney was not reachable for comment on the article.
