Lee Health to open $140M health village with surgery center in fall 2018: 4 takeaways

Fort Myers, Fla.-based Lee Health is keeping pace with plans to open its $140 million health and wellness village, Lee Health Coconut Point, in July 2018, according to Naples News.

Here are four takeaways:

1. Located in Estero, Fla., Lee Health Coconut Point will include a surgery center and medical clinics on the second floor.

2. The village will also feature a rehabilitation department, ancillary services, a 24/7 hour emergency hour, ambulance entrance and a healthy life center.

3. Lee Health bought land across the street from Lee Health Coconut Point. Suzanne Bradach, Lee Health director of special projects, said the heath system will team up with village officials to create a “master plan down the road for how we will incorporate all of the programs there into the programming at the Coconut Point facility.”

4. Lee Health is currently devising plans for hiring as well as discussing various programs and the overall patient experience at the village.
