The company’s name is now Erdman, A Cogdell Spencer Company.
"This rebranding reflects the March 10, 2008, merger of Erdman with Cogdell Spencer, a healthcare real estate investment trust," explained Carey O’Connor, Erdman’s marketing communications manager. "Erdman and Cogdell Spencer united to create an even more integrated healthcare facilities company."
Erdman’s design-build-development platform, combined with Cogdell Spencer’s complementary capital, development, and property management expertise, has created a single-source facilities offering for the healthcare market.
Erdman has collaborated with healthcare organizations to deliver more than 5,000 healthcare facilities across the U.S.
"Erdman is unique, as it can provide all services from facility conception to completion and beyond; the industry has been very responsive to this model. In 2007, the company’s healthcare projects totaled more than $300 million, which was an annual increase of more than 50 percent," said O’Connor.
In addition, Erdman is leading sustainability efforts in healthcare facilities. The company’s 39 LEED-Accredited professionals help clients find the energy-efficient, environmentally-responsible approaches they seek. Currently, Erdman is working on six projects pursuing LEED certification, with dozens of others incorporating sustainable measures.
