Here’s what you should know:
1. NuVasive will train 500-plus surgeons on new technologies and procedures at the innovation center.
2. NuVasive said the center will help “drive clinical predictability and improve patients’ lives.”
3. The company expects to begin renovations and construction in January 2018. Additional renovations include an expanded surgeon education lab, a prototype design facility and a biomedical testing center. NuVasive is also adding in several new employee amenities.
4. Coinciding with the renovations, NuVasive is increasing its research and development budget from 5 percent to 7 percent.
