GI leader to know: Dr. Timothy Halterman of Gastroenterology Consultants

Timothy Halterman, MD, is a gastroenterologist at Gastroenterology Consultants in Reno, Nev.

He earned his medical degree from Columbus-based The Ohio State University. He stayed at the university for his residency before completing a fellowship at Seattle-based University of Washington.

Dr. Halterman specializes in liver disorders. He has an interest in hepatitis B and hepatitis C, as well as autoimmune liver diseases and end-stage liver disease.

He is a member of several professional organizations including the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American Association for Liver Disease.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Halterman enjoys being outdoors, running, skiing, camping and golfing.
