Mr. Montaner was charged with submitting false claims for physical therapy services that were never given and occupational therapy services that Medicare does not cover. Additionally, he was charged with paying kickbacks to individuals and corporations for referrals to his clinic.
In total, Mr. Montaner, his son and another accomplice are responsible for defrauding more than $2.5 million from Medicare.
