Former Seattle ASC manager to take on new role at Palomar Medical Center: 4 things to know

Dawn Laundrup, BSN, RN, is the new director of surgical services at Poway, Calif.-based Palomar Medical Center, according to Times of San Diego.

Here are four things to know:

1. Ms. Laundrup most recently managed Hillcrest, Calif.-based UC San Diego Medical Center’s Level 1 trauma facility.

2. She also held a manger position at Seattle Children’s Dental Surgery Center.

3. She has nearly 20 years of nursing and leadership experience.  

4. Serving in the Air Force as a nurse corps officer for seven years, Ms. Laundrup received the Air Force Commendation Medal for being instrumental in launching a surgical safety program.
