Despite the ambulatory care services market expanding throughout the years, a Hexa Research report found the market will experience a “moderate” compound annual growth rate of 6 percent through 2024, according to medGadget.

Here are five things to know:

1. High government expenditures on ambulatory care services will spur market expansion.

2. The uptick in merger and acquisitions taking place in recent years have fueled growth, highlighted by Tenet Healthcare and United Surgical Partners International joining forces in 2015.

3. The report expects growing outpatient demand as well as technological advancements to continue driving growth.

4. Demand for ASC services is increasing in Europe due to newer forms of anesthesia coming into the mix.

5. From 2016 to 2024, the Asia market is likely to increase at a 7 percent CAGR.
