Here’s what you should know:
1. Hays is now the sole owner of St. Rose Health Center, an ASC.
2. The purchase also includes land surrounding St. Rose. HaysMed CEO John Jeter, MD, said in a release the company is debating its next steps with the property, weighing a future expansion.
3. Centura Health took over the ASC’s operations in November 2012 as part of a joint partnership. Hays Medical joined the deal in January 2015 as a managing partner.
4. Through that agreement, Centura and Hays Medical reduced the center from 240,000-square-feet to approximately 30,000-square-feet. The companies demolished the former five-story Central Kansas Medical Center.
5. Hays Medical plans to increase physician recruitment efforts.
