Great Falls Clinic looks back on past 100 years — ASC plans, new service lines & more

With Great Falls (Mont.) Clinic commemorating its 100th anniversary this year, Great Falls Tribune highlights some of the practice’s major accomplishments over the past century.

Here are six things to know:

1. Four general practitioners opened the clinic in 1917, with Great Falls Clinic adopting its name in 1922.

2. The clinic recruited the region’s first pediatric cardiologist in 1989 and the area’s first neonatologist in 1992.

3. Great Falls Clinic opened the Great Falls Clinic – Surgery Center in 1999 and opened the Northwest Clinic the year after.

4. In 2000, the clinic introduced the area’s first open MRI.

5. Three years later, Great Falls Clinic implemented the region’s first EHR.

6. Most recently, Great Falls Clinic opened a hospital on Jan. 5, 2016.
