Surgical Care Affiliates Enters Into Joint Venture With Mississippi ASC

Surgical Care Affiliates has announced it has entered into a joint venture agreement with Mississippi Surgical Center in Jackson, Miss.

The arrangement has SCA and a group of physician partners owning the center, with SCA providing management services.

Mississippi Surgical Center serves more than 100 physicians who perform procedures in specialties such as general surgery, ENT, gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, ophthalmic plastics, urology, pain management, plastic and reconstructive Surgery, and urogynecology.

Andrew Hayek, president and CEO of SCA, said in a press release, “We are excited about the opportunity to partner with this group of quality physicians at Mississippi Surgical Center. This will allow the physicians to focus on clinical excellence while leveraging SCA’s nationwide infrastructure and support services. This is another milestone in our effort to expand our services to more physicians, surgical hospitals and surgery centers across the country.”
