ASRA revises mission statement

The American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine revised its mission statement to better reflect the organization’s focus on research, education and advocacy.

The organization’s new mission statement is “advancing the science and practice of regional anesthesiology and pain medicine to improve patient outcomes through research, education, and advocacy.”

President Asokumar Buvanendran, MD, said in a release the organization changed its mission statement to reflects its advocacy efforts. ASRA paired these efforts with the organization’s focus on research and education.
