Here are four key notes:

1. As opposed to the traditional procedure that requires a minimum one night hospital stay, the outpatient total joint replacement procedure uses a technique that allows patients to go home hours after surgery.

2. Some advantages of this procedure include increased patient satisfaction, reduced risk of infection from hospital environment and reduced cost.

3. The Advanced Center for Surgery has two operating rooms and one procedure room that specialize in pain management, as well as outpatient total joint replacement and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgeries.

4. Dr. Hill said, “We are proud to offer this innovative new option to eligible joint replacement patients. This is another example of Vero Orthopaedics & Neurology’s dedication to offering our patients the most advanced, state of the art treatments and procedures.”
