Here’s what you should know.
1. Anthem will possibly have to pay up to $14.85 billion in a breakup fee and in additional damages to Cigna, Bloomberg reports.
2. Anthem was seeking an U.S. Supreme Court review of the case. Analysts believe the Supreme Court would likely decline the review if Cigna leaves the merger.
3. Both Anthem and Cigna spokespeople had no immediate comments to Bloomberg on the ruling.
