1. AORN’s new president is Nathalie Walker, RN. Previously serving as president-elect, Ms. Walker has served as a perioperative nurse and an AORN member for 24 years.

2. Stephanie Davis, RN, is the 2017 president-elect and Jane Flowers, MSN, RN, is AORN’s treasurer.

3. AORN elected new board members including:
●    Vicki Barnett, MSN, RN, Director of Surgical Services at Northside Hospital (Atlanta).
●    James Bowers, BSN, RN, Clinical Coordinator and Nurse Educator at West Virginia University Medicine (Morgantown).
●    Evangeline Dennis, BSN, RN, Director of Patient Care Practice, Ambulatory Surgery Services at Emory Healthcare (Atlanta).
●    Brenda Larkin, MS, RN, Clinical Nurse Specialist for Aurora Lakeland Medical Center (Elkhorn, Wis.) and Aurora Memorial Hospital (Burlington, Wis.).

4. AORN elected Karen Knapp, BSN, RN, and Nikki Washington, MSN, RN, to the nominating committee. Ms. Knapp is a travel nurse and Ms. Washington is a clinical manager at Houston-based DeBakey Heart & Vascular Catheterization Laboratory.
