The Penn Highlands Clearfield (Pa.) Auxiliary donated four anesthesia machines to Penn Highlands Clearfield, The Progress reports.

1. The auxiliary donated $155,000 to the hospital to purchase the new machines.

2. The auxiliary raised funds primarily through a charity ball. The auxiliary was going to originally donate the funds to the hospital, but when the organization discovered it could pay for the anesthesia machines, it elected to do so.

3. PH Clearfield President Gary Macioce said to The Progress, “We appreciate everything that the auxiliary does for Penn Highlands Clearfield. Their efforts make the hospital a better place for our patients and their families. This donation will directly touch many lives. The auxiliary is an inspiration for our employees and physicians.”
