1. The Joint Commission programs are eligible for Anthem’s Quality-In-Sights: Hospital Incentive Program. The Anthem program includes nearly 100 hospitals across Ohio. The hospitals are eligible to receive clinical quality and performance-based incentives.

2. The Joint Commission is offering the centers advanced certifications for palliative care and antimicrobial stewardship recognition. Centers that complete either accreditation are eligible for incentives through the payer.

3. Anthem in Ohio President Steve Martenet said in a release, “When we collaborate with hospitals on quality – and focus on rewarding providers for how well they do, not how much they do – our members benefit. These additional certifications not only reward quality but they also reduce the administrative burden on our provider partners.”
