Scott & White join 80% by 2018 colorectal cancer initiative: 3 key notes

Georgetown, Texas-based Scott & White signed onto the American Cancer Society’s 80 percent by 2018 initiative, the Temple Daily Telegram reports.

1. The initiative aims at screening more than 80 percent of the 50-year-old and older population by 2018.

2. Scott & White is the second Texas-based payer to sign onto the program.

3. Scott & White plans to encourage its beneficiary base to undergo a screening, and to increase awareness around the disease.
