Amkai’s contract wins included existing ASCs from across the country representing a variety of specialties, with several ASCs from California and Arizona, as well as a major billing service and an existing user of AmkaiCharts, Amkai?s electronic medical record system, adding the administrative component to its suite. Demonstrating the strength of interest in a comprehensive information management solution, one-third of the contracts included purchase of AmkaiCharts in addition to AmkaiOffice.
AmkaiOffice 2.0 is designed to replace legacy administrative systems that are used today in many ASCs. Created by the team that developed the popular AdvantX software, AmkaiOffice 2.0 enhances the best features of older products while adding many new capabilities and features. Through Sept. 30, the new system can be purchased through the company’s Freedom II program, which minimizes up front capital investment for ASCs seeking to replace legacy administrative systems with AmkaiOffice. The Freedom II upgrade has an intial setup charge of $12,500 for implementation and training and an annual subscription fee that covers the software license, software upgrades, and ongoing support
This approach avoids the kind of large financial outlay typically associated with a software system purchase, says the company. Based on its analyses, Amkai believes that in most cases the annual subscription will be the same or less as the customer?s current legacy system annual support costs. Additional financial incentives have been developed for customers who purchase AmkaiCharts, the company?s electronic medical record software, at the same time as ordering AmkaiOffice by Aug. 15. The combined solution of AmkaiCharts and AmkaiOffice offers surgery centers a comprehensive information management system that integrates the administrative and clinical sides of the business, says the company.
