American Association for Physician Leadership names new editorial leadership to pave way for 2017 strategy

The American Association for Physician Leadership, an organization aimed at growing and supporting physicians in healthcare management, created its first editorial board and added new editorial leaders as the organization works on its 2017 media strategy.

Here are four things to know:

1. Going forward this year, the organization is improving and integrating its primary media channels, including the Physician Leadership Journal magazine and the daily Physician Leadership Library online knowledge hub.  The Physician Leadership Journal magazine goes out on a bimonthly basis.

2. The American Association for Physician Leadership added Anthony Slonim, MD, as the new editor-in-chief of the Journal and the Library. Dr. Slonim is the president and CEO of Reno, Nev.-based Renown Health.

3. As the editor-in-chief, Dr. Slonim will oversee an editorial board which features certified physician executives from around the globe. The executives will review manuscripts which their peers submit to publish.

4. With more than two decades of experience as a journalist and editor, Jason Davis will be the managing editor.
