3 new joint venture ASCs — December 2016/January 2017

Here are three new joint venture ASCs announced or opened in the past couple months.

Deerfield, Ill.-based Surgical Care Affiliates partnered with Downers Grove, Ill.-based Midwest Center for Day Surgery, which is a joint venture between Advocate Health Care in Downers Grove and community physicians.

Great Neck, N.Y.-based Northwell Health purchased a majority stake in Shirley, N.Y.-based Suffolk Surgery Center, marking the health system’s seventh joint venture of this kind.

The new Lancaster (Ohio) Specialty Surgery Center opened its doors. The surgery center is affiliated with SurgCenter Development and its anesthesiologists are affiliated with New Albany (Ohio) Orthopedic Anesthesia.
