1. The appointment is effective Dec. 1, 2016.
2. In his new role, Dr. Diaz will oversee Tenet’s commitment to enhancing the safety and quality of care through the company’s 79 hospitals and affiliated facilities.
3. Dr. Diaz is the chief medical officer of Tenet’s Florida and Northeast regions, currently.
4. He jointed Tenet in 2004 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass., serving as the emergency department chief and later as chief medical officer.
5. Board certified in emergency medicine, Dr. Diaz completed his emergency medicine residency at University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester.
