Here are four things to know:
1. The vaccine, ZPIV, has already found success against a similar virus to Zika, called Japanese encephalitis.
2. Silver Spring, Md.-based Walter Reed Army Institute of Research are calling on 75 volunteers for the vaccine testing.
3. The hope is the vaccine will produce antibodies in people, which will ward off the virus.
4. Scientists have already found the vaccine to be effective against Zika in monkeys.
