Two anesthesiologists — Sheldon Newman, MD, and Leo Penzi, MD — have been selected as 2016 Achievements in Health Care award recipients by Long Island Business News.

1. Both physicians serve as regional clinical directors and chiefs of anesthesia for Melville, N.Y.-based anesthesia management company North American Partners in Anesthesia.

2. Dr. Newman is an assistant professor in the department of anesthesiology at Hempstead, N.Y.-based Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine.

3. Dr. Penzi is an assistant professor in the department of anesthesiology at Hempstead, N.Y.-based Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine and a clinical instructor at New York-based Weill Cornell Medical College.
