Level EX launches virtual surgery mobile app for physicians: 3 notes

The technology startup Level EX has launched a virtual surgery mobile app, called Airway EX, which the company hopes physicians will use to practice their surgical skills.

Here are three things to know:

1. The company says Airway EX provides a realistic environment for physicians to hone their skills in minimally invasive surgical procedures.

2. The app is meant for anesthesiologists, otolaryngologists, critical care specialists, emergency medicine physicians and pulmonologists. Level EX says each surgical case in Airway EX has been vetted by physician experts at academic hospitals.

3. In the coming year, Level EX plans to launch additional virtual surgery mobile apps related to gastroenterology, cardiology and orthopedics.
