Here’s what you should know.
1. Only 7 percent of all Oregonians are without insurance. That number is down from 9.7 percent in 2014, according to the Census Bureau’s American Community Survey.
Nationally the uninsured rate is at 9.4 percent.
2. Oregon is the 19th rated state in terms of highest percentage of residents with insurance. Some 3.71 million Oregonians now have health insurance.
3. The uninsured rates for adults ages 13- to 34-years-old is less than 20 percent. It was above 40 percent in 2011.
Adults ages 35- to 64-years-old are also seeing decreases. They now are slightly more than 10 percent, which is down from 25 percent in 2011.
