2. Review on Antimicrobial Resistance conducted a report finding antimicrobial-resistant infections could cause 10 million fatalities by 2050. Such infections currently cause 700,000 deaths each year.
3. Due to the rising concerns, many countries will be tasked to form action plans for reducing antibiotic use.
4. Many advocacy groups are imploring countries to research and develop new antibiotics and tools aimed at fighting these infections.
