AANA names Bruce Weiner president-elect: 5 things to know

Bruce Weiner, RN, has been named president-elect of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Weiner:

1. He has worked as a certified registered nurse anesthetist for more than 30 years.

2. He currently works at Florida Hospital Carrollwood in Tampa, Fla.

3. He is a guest lecturer for the nurse anesthesia program at University of South Florida, also in Tampa.

4. He holds memberships with the Florida Nurses Association and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

5. He earned his Master’s degree in nurse anesthesiology from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He is pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of South Florida.
