Mednax acquires Associated Anesthesiologists of Reno: 5 things to know

Mednax acquired Associated Anesthesiologists of Reno (Nev.), a private physician group.

Here are five things to know:

1. Associated Anesthesiologists of Reno employs 56 anesthesiologists.

2. The practice is the exclusive anesthesia services provider to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.

3. The practice also provides services to Carson Valley Medical Center in Gardnerville, Nev., and numerous ambulatory surgery centers.

4. The acquisition involved a cash transaction, and Mednax expects the transaction will be immediately accretive to earnings.

5. Mednax has acquired nine physician practices in 2016, thus far.
