Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush’s medical office building, ASC gets green light from village board: 4 things to know

The Oak Brook Village Board approved the construction of an outpatient orthopedic care building, which will include an ambulatory surgery center, in Oak Brook, Ill., according to a Chicago Tribune report.

Here are four things to know:

1. The new facility is a joint venture between Rush University Medical Center and Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, both based in Chicago.

2. The facility will encompass 103,000-square-foot and four stories.

3. In addition to an ASC, the facility will feature medical office space, and it will offer athletic performance improvement programs as well as rehabilitation and recovery services.

4. The facility is slated to open in mid-2018.
