Ronnie Fass, MD, has been named editor-in-chief of the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology, according to a Cleveland Jewish News report.

1. Dr. Fass is the director of the gastroenterology and hepatology division and of the Esophageal and Swallowing Center at the MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

2. He is a member of the FDA Related Matters Committee of the American College of Gastroenterology and treasurer of the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society.

3. He previously served as a section editor for the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology.

4. Dr. Fass has published two books and has written 45 book chapters.
