FDA clears Getinge Group’s sterilizer for flexible endoscopes: 3 things to know

The FDA has cleared Getinge Group’s STERIZONE VP4 Sterilizer for expanded indications.

Here are three things to know:

1. The sterilizer can now be used to sterilize colonoscopes, gastroscopes and other multi-channel flexible endoscopes.

2. The sterilizer is a low-temperature sterilization system that uses vaporized hydrogen peroxide and ozone to achieve sterilization.

3. The product can sterilize flexible endoscopes of up to four channels and 3.5 meters in length.
