New survey unveils top-performing physician groups in quality & coordinated care: 5 insights

A new CAPG Standards of Excellence member survey revealed which physician groups are offering quality, coordinated patient care.

Here are five insights:

1. The survey included 114 organizational members, who offer services to 11.6 million commercial beneficiaries and 3.1 million government program beneficiaries.

2. Physician groups are ranked on their performance in enhancing patient experience, clinical care and affordability of care.

3. The survey specifically rated physician groups on:

• Care management practices
• Information technology
• Accountability and transparency
• Patient-centered care
• Group support of advanced primary care
• Administrative and financial capability

4. Of participating physician groups, 71 were recognized at “elite.”

5. This year, the “elite” group included 13 new organizations.
