Gastroenterologist to know: Dr. Anthony DiMarino Jr. of Thomas Jefferson University

Anthony J. DiMarino Jr., MD, is a gastroenterologist and chief of the division of gastroenterology and hepatology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. He is also director of TJU’s Digestive Disease Institute and is a William Rorer Professor of Medicine.

Dr. DiMarino’s clinical interests include Barrett’s esophagus, bleeding in the digestive tract, celiac disease, ulcerative colitis, constipation, Crohn’s disease, diabetes, esophageal cancer, fecal incontinence, GERD and heartburn, gastroparesis, hiatal hernia, irritable bowel syndrome and lactose intolerance. He has been named a “Top Doc” by Philadelphia Magazine for 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Dr. DiMarino earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed both his residency and fellowship at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
