Dr. Barnard’s interests include gastroenterology, transplant hepatology, hepatology and liver transplantation. He earned his medical degree from Stanford (Calif.) University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Barnard also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
