Capital Digestive Care launches CRC awareness website for African-Americans: 3 things to know

In recognition of Colon Cancer Awareness Month this March, Silver Spring, Md.-based Capital Digestive Care launched a new informational website.

Here are three things to know:

1. The website, called ACancerTooCommon.com, aims to spread awareness about the threat of colorectal cancer in the African-American community.

2. African-Americans are more likely than other groups to die from colon cancer and colon cancer is the third most common cancer among African-American men and women.

3. The website also allows potential patients to schedule appointments online.
