Florida plastic surgery center gets accreditation: 5 key notes

Stephen Prendiville, MD, received accreditation for his surgical center, according to a Naples Daily News report.

The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities granted the surgical center a three-year accreditation. Here are five things to know about the center:

1. The ASC is located next to Dr. Prendiville’s practice and focuses on facial plastic surgery.

2. Dr. Prendiville is a fellowship-trained plastic surgeon with certification from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology.

3. The accreditation surveyors inspected the center and found zero recommendations for improvement.

4. Dr. Prendiville is the past president and secretary/treasurer of the Florida Society of Facial Plastic Surgery. He previously served as a clinical instructor at St. Louis University.

5. Throughout his career, Dr. Prendiville authored articles published in medical journals and was a guest editor for the Facial Plastic Surgery Clinics of North America.
