The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care granted accreditation to Northeast Surgery Center of Newington (N.H.).

Here are five things to know about Northeast Surgery Center of Newington:

1. Northeast Surgery Center was established in 2000 as a freestanding, physician-owned ambulatory surgery center.

2. The surgery center is focused on orthopedics and procedures include joint arthroscopy, rotator cuff repairs, ACL reconstruction, pain management, lumbar laminectomy, anterior cervical discectomy and fusion as well as extremities surgery.

3. There are 11 physicians affiliated with the surgery center.

4. Northeast Surgery Center of Newington is affiliated with AmSurg.

5. The center also includes eye surgery, ENT, plastic surgery and general surgery.
