GI physician leader to know: Dr. David Hess of Cincinnati GI

David D. Hess, MD, is a practicing gastroenterologist with Cincinnati GI. He is also the current medical director of Endoscopy Center West in Cincinnati. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American College of Gastroenterology, Ohio State Medical Association and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Hess’ hospital and endoscopy center affiliations include Good Samaritan Hospital, Mercy Health Hospital West and Bethesda North Hospital, all located in Cincinnati. He has been named an outstanding member of the internal medicine teaching faculty at Good Samaritan Hospital. His clinical interests include gastroesophageal reflux disease, Barrett’s esophagus, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, colon polyps, colon cancer screening, liver disease as well as pancreatic and biliary tract disease.

Dr. Hess earned his medical degree at Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus. He completed his residency at Good Samaritan Hospital and his GI, hepatology and nutrition fellowship at VA Medical Center/Boston University School of Medicine.
