3. He also serves as the director of the Center for Health Services Research at the university.
4. Dr. Williams’ research centers on quality improvement, care transitions, teamwork and the role of health literacy in healthcare delivery.
5. In 1998, he established the first hospitalist program for a public hospital at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.
6. Previously, Dr. Williams was president of the Society of Hospital Medicine and founding editor of the Journal of Hospital Medicine.
